Dr. Patrick M. Jackson Jr! a man known for creative professional excellence has been taking his audience by surprise for more than a two decades. Growing up in Fort Washington Maryland, Dr. Jackson grasped the concept of becoming an organizational leader at the young age of 16 as he served as the Student Director of the Friendly High School Vocal Music Department in 2001. Understanding his unique potential for leadership and business development, in 2003, Dr. Jackson was offered a rear opportunity to become the youngest manager of two fast-paced McDonalds restaurants, located in Crystal City and Pentagon City malls, where he learn under his inspiration in the hospitality industry, Elana James, who was the youngest African American female McDonalds owner in the US, owning multiple locations at the young age of 21.
Having a passion for the development and training of youth who strive to become young entrepreneurs, in 2017, Dr. Jackson took his education and training within the hospitality and tourism industry into the classroom as an educator for the District of Columbia Public School System where he certified high school students in grades 9-12 in the areas of Principles of Hospitality, Customer Service, Marketing, Event Planning and Hotel Management. Students who excelled in the classroom were given internships with The Patrick Michael Company to provide them with work-based learning opportunities and hands on experience.
In 2022, Dr. Jackson was promoted to the Director of Hospitality and Tourism within the District of Columbia Public School System where he was charged with leading the academy of hospitality and tourism to success through recruitment, work-based learning and exposure, community partnerships and successful student certification completion.
On June 9th, 2023, Dr. Patrick M. Jackson Jr. graduated with honors from Northcentral University of San Diego California with a Doctor of Business Administration with a concentration in General Business. Dr. Jackson has a published dissertation entitled “Employee Retention and Turnover within the Hospitality and Tourism Industry” A Correlational Study.
