Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare professionals trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality CPR, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED services.  

You will learn:

• Adult BLS
• AED for Adults, Children, & Infants
• Rescue Breathing
• 2-Rescuer Child CPR
• Infant BLS
• Relief of Choking

First Aid, CPR, and AED provides students the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of First Aid, CPR, and use of an Automated External Defibrillator. This course empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community.

You will also learn:

• Adult CPR
• AED for Adult, Child, & Infant
• Drug Overdose 
• Adult, Child, Infant Choking
• The Basics of First Aid

Become an authorized American Heart Association CPR Instructor in as little as one day. The BLS, CPR, AED & First Aid Instructor Development Course is comprised of an online cognitive training segment followed by a 5-hour, in-person Instructor-led course. 

After you complete the BLS & CPR, AED & First Aid Instructor Development course, you will be able to certify individuals in CPR, AED and/or First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS). 

Course Prerequisites:

• Be accepted by an AHA Training Center (TC) or Training Site (TS) before enrolling in an Instructor Essentials Course and have a completed Instructor Candidate Application on file.
• Have current AHA Provider status in the discipline for that Instructor Essentials Course and be proficient in all the skills of that discipline 
• Successfully complete the Instructor Essentials Course, including both the online and hands-on session 
• Successfully be monitored teaching within 6 months after completing the hands-on session of the Instructor Essentials Course (Training Center Coordinators [TCCs] may require additional monitoring, if needed)
